How Do We Do?- Machines

  • EH has installed Ten Nos. of Induction Heating Machines to carryout Heat treatment.

  • Four are installed in Bengaluru and 3 each in Chennai & Hosur.

  • IH Machines have work stations to hold the parts a) to rotate with vertical travel b) rotate with pneumatic up-down movement.

  • IH Tools are fitted on the IH machine to carry out the Heat Treatment of each of the part. They are a) Job Holder b) Inductor Coil c) Quench Sprayer d) Coil Making Gauge / Coil Fitting Gauge e) Coil Gap Gauge

  • Tempering is done immediately after the Induction hardening to get the stresses relieved as well to reduce hardness if needed.

  • EH has installed Four Nos. of Electrical Ovens Two in Bengaluru, One each in Chennai and Hosur to carry out Tempering process

  • Machinery available in Bangalore Unit are IH Machine – 4 nos, Tempering Oven – 2 nos.

  • Machinery available in Chennai Unit are IH Machine – 3 nos, Tempering Oven – 1 no.

  • Machinery available in Hosur Unit IH Machine - 3 nos, Tempering Oven –1 no.

  • Work Instructions are made and displayed on these machines, describing how to operate and work on these machines.

  • 'IH Process Plan' is made and recorded for each of the part treated and same is used while processing by the operator.

  • The operator checks for 'Incoming Inspection Report' done by Inspector and then does the Induction Hardening operation and tempering operation.

  • Operator records the work done and results obtained during his shift in the given format called 'Production Report'.

  • After Induction Hardening and Tempering done, the Operator submits the processed parts for 'Inspection'.

  • The inspector makes the final inspection and records the 'Outgoing Inspection Report' from which 'Test Certificate' are made and sent.
